Today Was A Good Day x Chinese 1C

The other day my boy Matt was over at the crib editing a video for his Chinese final. The assignment was to do a presentation covering all the words and phrases they had learned during the quarter. Matt being a hip-hop head and all went ahead and made a music video set to Cube's Today Was A Good Day.

Wiz Khalifa X Illadelph

Since the start all of us at Dank LA have been huge supporters of Illadelph glassware. I've had my Illadelph for close to 8 months now and between my roommates and I it rarely goes a day without use.

The homie Yosh hit me up earlier to tell me there was an Illadelph sighting in Wiz Khalifa's video for The Kid Frankie off of his Kush & OJ mixtape.

TiRon- Ketchup (Mixtape)

After seeing TiRon perform Wednesday night I went ahead and gave his most recent mixtape Ketchup (2009) a shot. Definitely worthy of a download and listen. If you like the new breed of LA artists like Dom Kennedy or Pac Div then you will like TiRon too. If there's one thing this new breed of rappers have in common is that they all seem to have great ears for beats, and this tape is no exception.

His next mixtape MSTRD is set to drop soon.

Song of the Day/Latest on Shirts

This is what I'm listening to today. Classic UGK.

The design for the first official run of shirts is close to completion. As soon as that happens we'll be off to get the shirts printed and have them ready to buy.

Make sure and take pictures of where you slap the stickers up...we'll be doing a contest for the best placement with the winner getting a free shirt.

Me and Yosh were on our crunch-time study grind earlier today for a midterm and took a much needed break. We walked up to the Student Center and what do you know, sorority girls asking for creampies.

Yosh had to deliver.

G.o.D. Jewels- All Things Go (Video)

G.o.D. Jewels isn't like most up and coming rappers. You won't hear him "freestyling" over the popular beat of the week, doing lackluster interviews for random blogs...come to think of it he keeps a pretty low profile altogether. While most rappers seem to make decisions regarding their direction and career on the fly, Jewels' every move seems planned and calculated with a greater goal in mind than an internet buzz.

All Things 'Go has Jewels paying tribute to his birthplace, the Windy City. One of the better rap videos I've seen in a while, simply because the shit is REAL. No effects, green screens, or video hoes.

Plus the varsity jackets are fresh.

There's an ongoing joke between me and some friends that Glen Davis plays for the "other" team. Despite several pieces of evidence one friend, Sa'Wel, insists that he is in fact straight. You would think he's on Glen's payroll the way he defends him but that's another issue.

Anyway I get a text from Sa'wel today saying, "Congrats to glen "big baby" davis, he's expecting a baby with his gf who's smashable btw for all the haters" as if that's supposed to make me forget about this.
